The stay here was perfect. Large rooms and beautiful lounges to relax in. There was plenty of land to exercise our dog, and the location was within walking distance of a beautiful town. The host was a delight and gave us great restaurant recommendations. The breakfasts were very good.
The coffee machine in our room was temperamental and the bathroom, although beautifully decorated, was not functional for taking a shower. The fixed shower head was too low and there was no shower curtain, resulting in a flooded floor.

The hotel's decoration was simply exquisite, with a charming mix of rustic and elegant touches. The common areas were beautifully furnished, and I particularly enjoyed the cozy sitting areas where I could relax with a good book. The hotel's accessibility for senior people was excellent, with wide hallways and well-lit spaces making it easy to navigate. The staff, who I lovingly referred to as the "children working there," were incredibly helpful and considerate towards us seniors, always ready to assist with a warm smile.
I wished there were more activities specifically designed for senior guests, like organized walks or gentle exercise classes.

L'Escapade Brantome offers a wonderfully relaxing retreat for women travelling alone. The host, Isabelle, is incredibly generous and goes above and beyond to make your stay extra special. The room is lovely, with beautiful decor and a cozy atmosphere. The breakfast is a highlight, with a good selection of local produce. The location is perfect for exploring the area and there is plenty of room to relax both inside and outside the property.
The local area can be quite quiet and some shops and restaurants may be closed during the off-season.
